Introductions

Feline Fine Behaviour was founded in 2020 by Sam (with help from her ginger moggy, Bert). Sam has obtained an MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour from the University of Edinburgh, with a special interest in cat mental wellbeing, new cat owner support and owner emotional support.

Feline Fine started with Bert, who was rescued during his more senior years. He had some health issues that needed addressing, and with this came a host of lifestyle adaptations. This journey made Sam think about how overwhelming it can be for cat owners, new and experienced. She decided, no matter how short or long the journey, no owner should have to feel alone.

At Feline Fine, we want to reconnect you and your cat, and foster a deeper understanding of their behavioural and emotional needs. However you are feeling, you are not alone. We can work together to help restore harmony to your feline family.

A golden thread

Or perhaps orange is more on brand...

Whilst cat behaviour services remain the core of Sam's business, a golden thread that has run through her career is education. From lecturing, public speaking, falconry and L&D, Sam's experience in formal and informal education is vast.

So, to reflect this vast skillset, Top Tier Consultancy was founded in 2024, and became the overarching brand of Sam's business. Keeping Feline Fine nestled firmly underneath.

To complement this passion, Sam recently became qualified as a foundation executive coach. As a purveyor of curiosity, Sam aims to help people align with their values, helping them achieve their goal (whether personal or professional!).

Professional Experience

Before cats, Sam has worked and trained a variety of birds of prey and exotic mammals, as well as domestic farm livestock. Sam can apply her wide range of knowledge and experience to helping you effectively understand and communicate with your cat. Yes, this includes training them too!

Sam currently works at Optivet Referrals, providing pet guardians with impaired or no vision adapt to their new lifestyle. Sam has been commended with an innovation award for her work with animal emotional welfare.

Teaching and Learning

Having previously gained a Level 3 City and Guilds qualification in Education and Training, Sam has taught Level 1, 2 and 3 Animal Management, as well as working within informal education settings running bird of prey demonstrations and experiences. Sam not only has a passion for cats, but for education and sharing her knowledge.

And.... a Cat Guardian!

Most importantly, Sam is a cat guardian. She understands how deep a bond is between a cat and their human, and how painful any rift between that may be. Everything you feel towards your animal (and sometimes, we understand that this can be negative!) comes from a place of complete love and care. At Feline Fine, we want to restore harmony within your feline family!
